# Step 1: Swap Transactions

To begin participating in the RealFi Testnet, the first step is completing a SWAP transaction.

Start by navigating to the [Cardano Faucet](https://docs.cardano.org/cardano-testnets/tools/faucet) tool to request test ADA funds (used to cover network fees).

Once there, scroll down to configure your faucet settings by selecting the "preprod" test environment and entering your wallet address (we recommend Lace or Eternl, with network settings correctly set to the preprod environment). Proceed by clicking the button to request your test ADA.

Next, connect your wallet to the [RealFi dApp](http://preprod.realfi.co/). From there, navigate to the "[Get USDr](https://preprod.realfi.co/get-usdr)" tab, and utilise the tool on the left side of the page to mint USDCx directly to your wallet. Once your USDCx balance is visible in your wallet, you're ready to execute the swap transaction and complete your first testnet action by swapping USDCx for USDr.

Your first swap transaction earns you 1,000 R-Points.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.realfi.co/testnet-participation/step-1-swap-transactions.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
